Hello, again, dear students!
I am so proud of you all in your fund raising efforts for your Washington, D.C. trip. We had an amazing couple of weeks. You all worked so hard the weekend of Cranberry Fest and were able to raise almost $6000 selling cranberries, apples, used books and caramel apples. This past weekend you earned over $1500 selling cranberries, apples and cut-out cookies at Pumpkin Fest. Several of you worked very hard in the cafeteria clearing and washing tables all day.
There is another event this weekend - the huge community wide garage sale. There are over 30 of you signed up to work either the set up on Friday night after school or the sale itself on Saturday from 8 - 1pm. Work hard this weekend and we will be even closer to our goal of raising the $42,000 needed for our trip!
Please comment on today's blog to share your favorite moments while fund raising. Tell how you had fun while working hard for your trip. Share an inspiration that will help motivate others to put in more hours. Share a tip about how to sell to the public. Describe how you greet and talk to people in the community while you are working a fundraising booth. Or, tell about a conversation you had with a person that decided to make a donation.
Please remember to keep your comments school-appropriate and share them in such a way that your classmates will be inspired to try out your tip or piece of advice. Have fun blogging and be sure to check out the great pictures of some of the fund raisers you've already worked!
